To conclude and culminate the Year of the Religious Heritage, from October 9, 2008 to February 15, 2009, the exhibition Godshuisjes – religious heritage in Groningen takes place in the University Museum Groningen, organized in collaboration with the Museumhuis Groningen.
A hermit, a mobile kosher shop and a Buddha statue with fresh pineapple? These are just a few expressions of religious experience, such as those that can still be found today in the province of Groningen. Special objects from various museums and cultural institutions and unique photos by Robert Mulder together form the “god houses” of Groningen history.
His photos are primarily focused on religious experience in the past and present and always focus on people.
